On the rocks alert: Al Gore's weird divorce deal
Publication: National ExaminerDate: 8 August 2011
Welcome back to gossip hell, Al Gore! Since the story is about the divorce, you would think the headline would be "Al and Tipper Gore's weird divorce deal", but the low rent Examiner does not mention her.
This is the only the first time Al has been on the cover of a tabloid in 2011, but the 11th time he has been mentioned in the tabloids in the past two years, nowhere near as popular as Barack Obama or Bill Clinton, but more times than George W. Bush, which means he's still beating Bush in the popular vote.

Bells Are Ringing Alert™: JonBenet's dad gets re-married.
Publication: National EnquirerDate: 8 August 2011
JonBenet Ramsey was murdered 15 years ago. Her mom Patsy Ramsey died five years ago. JonBenet's father John got re-married recently and the Enquirer thinks this is news.
While a young girl died, this isn't like Casey Anthony. The cops and the district attorney never had enough evidence to put anyone on trial and they came forward to exonerate the family, though some members of the press and the public have never accepted this.
On the rocks alert: Kristin jilted at the altar!
Publication: Weekly Life & StyleDate: 8 August 2011
Only Weekly Life & Style thought former reality TV star Kristin Cavallari's engagement last May was newsworthy, and they are also the only magazine that thinks Kristin getting dumped is newsworthy as well. They also thought it was worth exclusive pictures.
The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow Alert™: The Mayans predict earthquake in the the Midwest in July.

If we are being all technical and stuff, the Sun got a prophecy right when they said the Mayans foretold of earthquakes in the Midwest in July 2011.
There are earthquakes in the Midwest of the United States almost every day. They are just really small.
The biggest this month in the Midwest was a 2.8 on the Richter scale, epicenter near Greenbrier, Arkansas. California had about a dozen quakes stronger than that this month, none of the them newsworthy. The biggest this month was a 7.0 off the coast of Japan, about 16,000 times stronger than a 2.8 and about 100 weaker than the gigantic quake that hit Japan earlier this year.
So I'm counting this as a technically correct prophecy, but a practically pointless one. People do not need to be forewarned about earthquakes a cat might sleep through.
